History
Gazi University Institute of Health Sciences, affiliated to Gazi University, with the provisions in Articles 3 / f, 19, 50 and 65 of the Higher Education Law No.2547 and the Decree Law No. 41 on the Organization of Higher Education Institutions, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine and the School of Physical Education and Sports in 1982 in order to organize, conduct and supervise the graduate and doctorate education and started its activities on 05.08.1983.

Later, in 2003, it incorporated the Nursing School with its Master's Program. This Vocational School was transformed into the Faculty of Health Sciences in 2008 with the decision of the Council of Ministers numbered 2008/13928 and continues its postgraduate education with this name.

The main objectives of Gazi University Institute of Health Sciences are to organize postgraduate education in the field of Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Sports Sciences, to direct postgraduate studies and projects by following scientific and technological developments, to direct its students to advanced research on current issues.

Students enrolled in the Graduate program of the Institute continue their course, seminar and thesis studies in accordance with the regulations they are bound to. They have to complete this training within the period specified in the regulations they are bound to.

As of November 2019, there are 1367 students enrolled in our institute, which continues education in 55 fields, including 43 departments, 1 department and 11 programs, 22 non-thesis master's, 450 master's, 895 doctorate program. A strong faculty consisting of 171 Professors, 100 Associate Professors, 17 Doctor Lecturers and 138 Research Assistants in the departments affiliated to the Institute of Health Sciences are working to carry out better and more qualified studies every day and to carry Gazi University further.

The Institute of Health Sciences, which raises qualified manpower that will contribute and will contribute to the R&D activities of Gazi University, which is one of the most important educational and training institutions of our country, works with a sense of responsibility, in the light of the principles it has determined in accordance with its vision and mission, and He continues his international academic studies.

Graduation Requirements
To be successful in the thesis exam and to meet the other conditions specified in the Gazi University Postgraduate Education and Training Directorate. The completion period of the master's program is 4 semesters.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
If the graduates of our department are successful in the entrance exams, they can be employed as a lecturer in physical education and sports departments or colleges, and universities that provide education in the field of sports technology. In addition, he worked as a consultant and sports specialist in various institutions and organizations, athlete research centers, sports clubs, sports federations, municipalities, sports and recreation units, gymnastics, aerobics, step, outdoor sports, defense sports etc. they can get.
Assessment and Grading
Quantification and consideration

(1) In addition to midterm exams and / or semester studies, students are taken to the final exam and / or end-of-term project work evaluation. The exam schedule is announced on the web page by the head of the relevant department.
(2) The success of the student is evaluated with the evaluation method and success criteria specified in the course description form announced at the beginning of the relevant course.
(3) The student is obliged to pass the compulsory courses. He can retake an elective course he failed and choose another course instead.
(4) Midterm exams and / or semester studies, final exam and / or end-of-term project work are evaluated over 100 raw points. Success letter grade over 100 raw points is appreciated for seminar, thesis study, term project courses and proficiency exam. In order for the student to be successful in the relevant course, the letter grade for the master's degree must be at least CC In doctoral and postgraduate doctoral programs, the letter grade must be at least CB
(5) A student with a raw success score below 25.00 is considered unsuccessful in that course by getting a direct (FF) grade. The success grade of the student whose raw success score is 25.00 and above; The general condition of the class is evaluated with one of the letter grades whose coefficients and expansions are given below, taking into account the arithmetic averages and statistical distribution. After this evaluation, it is possible that the raw achievement scores of 25.00 and above have letter grade equivalents (FF).
(6) Coefficients and success letter grades are evaluated as follows:

(7) AGNO is calculated by dividing the sum of the weighted points calculated on the basis of the final grades of all courses during the student's education by the total credits of the courses taken. The AGNO obtained is shown as two digits after the comma.
(8) The grades given from (AA) to (FF) are taken as basis in the calculation of both the weighted semester and the AGNO. (G) and (D) grades are treated as (FF) grades.
(9) All grades are recorded in the student's grade tracking document.
(10) AGNO's for graduation; It must be at least 2.50 / 4.00 in master's programs with / without thesis, and at least 3.00 / 4.00 in doctoral programs with master's / undergraduate degree. Students who have completed their total credits but could not meet the graduation requirement meet this requirement by taking new courses / courses.
(11) Students who fail to obtain the right to take the final exam because they do not fulfill the attendance requirements or the requirements for course practices are considered absent (D).
