About Programme
|
The main purpose of the Department of Pharmacognosy is to make applied research studies as well as theoretical education at doctorate level. This training includes plant taxonomy and morphology, morphological and microscopic analysis of herbal drugs, practical working techniques in pharmacognosy, separation techniques, general concepts in pharmaceutical biotechnology, general concepts in biological screening, phytochemical studies, standardization of herbal extracts using different quantification methods on active substances or analytical markers, instrumental analysis methods etc.

History

Gazi University Institute of Health Sciences is affiliated with Gazi University, with the provisions in Articles 3 / f, 19, 50 and 65 of the Higher Education Law No.2547 and the Decree Law No. 41 on the Organization of Higher Education Institutions Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, Health Master's and Doctorate programs at the Faculty of Sciences and the School of Physical Education and Sports started on 05.08.1983. Master's and doctorate programs in the Department of Pharmacognosy started as of this date.

Admission Requirements
For registration and admission to the doctorate program, students must meet the conditions in accordance with the general principles of the GAZI UNIVERSITY GRADUATE EDUCATION-TEACHING AND EXAM REGULATIONS, Part II, which was published in the Official Gazette (Issue: 30798) on 11 June 2019.
To graduate from a master's program for those who graduate from a 4-year pharmacy faculty.
Being a graduate of a 5-year pharmacy faculty.

Higher Grade Transition
|
Graduates who have successfully completed the doctorate program can apply to higher education institutions in the same or similar fields in the country or abroad for an academic position, or to research centers in public institutions for an expert position.
