History
Graduate School of Health Sciences was established with Decree Law 41 regarding Higher Education Institutions and Higher Education Act 2547 and has been accepting graduate students since 1983.

Admission Requirements
Second Cycle (Master?s) Degree diploma with thesis, (2) A minimum ALES score of 75 or equivalent international examinations scores for graduate-level programmes such as GRE, GMAT, etc., recognised by YÖK. (3) A minimum score of 70 in accepted foreign language proficiency exams. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their composite scores consisting of second cycle degree grade point averages, ALES and foreign language exam.
For International Students:
Second Cycle Degree diploma with thesis obtained from universities recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their second cycle degree grade point averages.

Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from pharmaceutical chemistry PhD program, students should attend courses of the department or related departments (90 ECTS credits with a minimum 3/4 cumulative GPA), deliver at least one seminar, should be successful in proficiency exam and should present his/her PhD thesis orally in presence of an academic assessment committee.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
This degree is an academically oriented degree and enables the graduate to exercise his/her profession in or a related field of study and/or in research.
Graduates of Pharmaceutical Chemistry PhD program will have an opportunity to continue their academic careers in relevant sections of universities. In addition, PhD graduates will be able to work in relevant institutions particularly in pharmaceutical industry, drug quality control laboratories and research and development centers.
Assessment and Grading
(1) Students take the final exam and/or the final project in addition to the mid-term exams and/or mid-term studies. Examination calendar is published on the website of the related academic department.
(2) The success of the students is evaluated with the methods and criteria which are stated on the course description forms that are declared at the beginning of semester.
(3) Students are obliged to succeed in must courses. They can reselect a failed elective course or select another elective instead.
(4) Mid-term exams and/or mid-term studies and final exam and/or the final project are evaluated over 100 raw points. Letter success grades over 100 raw points are given for seminars, thesis studies, term project courses and proficiency exams. To succeed in courses, the minimum letter success grades must be CC for master?s degree and CB for doctorate and integrated (post bachelor) doctorate.
(5) A student whose raw point is under 25 fails the course by receiving an (FF) grade directly. The success grade of a student whose raw point is 25 or above is evaluated with the grades considering the general status of the class, average points and statistical range.
