About Programme
Electrical and Electronics Engineering is among the engineering branches that have a large share in providing developing technologies. Electrical and Electronic Engineering, whose application areas are very wide, constitute the cornerstones of many innovations. In the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, adhering to the basic engineering science principles, theoretical and applied Electrical and Electronics Engineering education at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level. The main goal of our department is to train engineers who can solve technical and professional problems in their working lives, work in a team, communicate well, take on a leading role, and undertake engineering, research and development, business and management tasks in national and international companies. Advanced mathematical knowledge including probability and statistics, derivative and integral calculations, multivariate mathematics, linear algebra, differential equations and complex variables, including electrical and electronic applications, analog circuits, digital circuits, analog electronics, They have knowledge of digital electronics, measurements, signal processing, electromagnetic, analog, digital, industrial and optical communication, control and automation, electrical machinery, renewable energy sources, power electronics, power systems, smart grids, biomedical, robotics subjects and applications, complex acquire knowledge of basic sciences, computer programming and computer applications required for the analysis and design of systems including hardware and software.
The Main Branch of Science
Prof.Dr. Nihat ÖZTÜRK
History
With the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette dated 13.11.2009 and numbered 27405, Gazi University Technical Education Faculty was closed and the Faculty of Technology was established with the same date and number. Electrical and Electronics Engineering master's and doctoral programs received their first students in the fall semester of 2012-2013.
Qualification Awarded
Post Graduate
Admission Requirements
General admission requirements for Turkish and foreign students apply to start the program.
Higher Grade Transition
Graduates who successfully complete their master's program can apply for a doctorate program at Gazi University or any university.
Graduation Requirements
In the program with thesis, completing 21 credit courses, being successful in Scientific Research Methods course, Seminar course, and thesis work. In the non-thesis program, it is required to have completed at least 30 credits.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
All kinds of public and private organizations working in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Especially large organizations operating in the defense industry and organizations operating in the energy sector.
Assessment and Grading
(1) In addition to midterm exams and / or semester studies, students are taken to the final exam and / or end-of-term project work evaluation. Exam schedule is announced on the web page by the head of the relevant department.
(2) The success of the student is evaluated with the evaluation method and success criteria specified in the course description form announced at the beginning of the relevant course.
(3) The student is obliged to pass the compulsory courses. He can retake an elective course he failed, and choose another course instead.
(4) Midterm exams and / or semester studies, final exam and / or end-of-term project work are evaluated over 100 raw points. Success letter grade over 100 raw points is appreciated for seminar, thesis study, term project courses and proficiency exam. In order for the student to be successful in the relevant course, the letter grade for the master's degree must be at least CC; In doctoral and postgraduate doctoral programs, the letter grade must be at least CB
(5) A student whose raw achievement score is below 25.00 is considered unsuccessful in that course by getting a direct (FF) grade. The success grade of the student whose raw success score is 25.00 and above; The general condition of the class is evaluated with one of the letter grades whose coefficients and expansions are given below, taking into account the arithmetic averages and statistical distribution. After this evaluation, it is possible that the raw achievement scores of 25.00 and above have letter grade equivalents (FF).
(6) Coefficients and success letter grades are evaluated as follows:
Coefficients Notes
4.00 AA
3.50 BA
3.00 BB
2.50 CB
2.00 CC
1.50 DC
1.00 DD
0.50 FD
0.00 FF
b) Notes other than those in subparagraph (a) are as follows:
1) D: Absent,
2) G: Not entered,
3) E: Incomplete, (The (E) grade, which is not corrected within three weeks following the finalization of the final exam success letter grades, is converted into (FF)?)
(7) AGNO is calculated by dividing the sum of the weighted points calculated on the basis of the final grades of all courses during the student's education by the total credits of the courses taken. The AGNO obtained is shown as two digits after the comma.
(8) Grades given from (AA) to (FF) are taken as basis in the calculation of both the weighted semester and the AGNO. (G) and (D) grades are treated as (FF) grades.
(9) All grades are recorded in the student's grade tracking document.
(10) For graduation, AGNO's; It must be at least 2.50 / 4.00 in master's programs with / without thesis, and at least 3.00 / 4.00 in doctoral programs with a master's / undergraduate degree. Students who have completed their total credits but could not meet the graduation requirement meet this requirement by taking new courses / courses.
(11) Students who fail to obtain the right to take the final exam because they do not fulfill the attendance requirements or the requirements for course practices are considered absent (D).
