About Programme

The purpose of the master's program in the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology is to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate teaching practices, who know how to do scientific research, follow current developments in the field of instructional technologies, use learning and teaching arts together, adapt technology to educational goals. Our mission is to raise individuals who can effectively meet the educational needs of our country with an academic point of view, in accordance with the changing conditions of the day.

History
The program was established in 1998 with two faculty members, and in the following few years it has progressed to expand its staff with one lecturer and 3 research assistants. The department, which had 6 teaching staff at the time of its establishment, currently has 11 Professors, 6 Associate Professors, 3 Doctoral Faculty Members and 3 Research Assistants. The department started its undergraduate education with 40 students in its first year. In 2002, it started to provide postgraduate education by opening postgraduate programs in 2009.

Admission Requirements
1. To have a bachelor's degree.
2. To have the central exam score made by the Assessment, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), the procedures and principles of which are determined by YÖK and the score type of the applied program is not less than the minimum score determined by the YÖK.
3. The central exam score made by ÖSYM is not required for the admission of students to the departments of the faculties of fine arts and conservatories that accept students only with a special talent exam.
4. To meet the conditions determined by the senate/institute of the higher education institution regarding the admission of students in graduate education and training, the procedures and principles of which are determined by YÖK.
Higher Grade Transition
1. Those who have a master's degree with thesis can continue their doctoral programs.
2. Except for the preparatory classes, those who have a bachelor's degree for at least ten semesters are considered to have a master's degree, so they can continue their doctorate programs.
Graduation Requirements
1. To pass at least seven courses, one seminar course and thesis, provided that it is not less than 120 ECTS course credits, and to fulfill other obligations, if any, determined by the relevant higher education institution senate/institute.
2. A scientific preparation program for a maximum of two semesters can be applied for students who are accepted to master's programs with thesis, who have received their undergraduate degree in a field different from the graduate program they are accepted to, and graduate program candidates who have received their undergraduate degree from higher education institutions other than the higher education institution they are accepted to.
3. Except for the preparatory classes, those who have a bachelor's degree for at least ten semesters are deemed to have a master's degree.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
This degree is an academically oriented degree and enables the graduate to exercise his/her profession in or a related field of study and/or in research.
Assessment and Grading
In general, different methods such as homework, project, practice, midterm and final exam are used in measurement and evaluation.
In the evaluation of student success, systems based on letters or grades are used.
(1) Students are given a letter grade for each course at the end of the semester/year they are registered.
(2) This letter grade is appreciated by the instructor giving the course.
(3) In the evaluation of the success letter grade, the student's midterm exam, semester/end exam, success in the semester studies and attendance to the courses and applications are taken into consideration. The calculation of this letter grade is determined by the recommendation of the relevant academic unit board, the decision of the relevant board of the academic unit and the approval of the Senate.
(4) The success grade of the student is determined out of 100 full points. This score is called the raw achievement score.
(5) A student with a raw success score below 25.00 fails the course by getting a direct (FF) grade. The success grade of the student whose raw success score is 25.00 and above; The general situation of the class is evaluated by using one of the methods prepared with the decision of the University Education Commission and the approval of the Senate, taking into account the arithmetic averages and statistical distribution.
