About Programme
Our students, , as Paramedics,    are defined as the key of life   chain in Emergency Health Services and constitute an important part of pre-hospital emergency care; They are trained as professional individuals who are generally equipped with the information that intervenes to the critically ill patient or the injured at first, who can do what to do in the face of any incident and act according to ethical rules.

History
Our college, which was established in 1985 under the Gazi University Rectorate, started education with the Nursing associate degree program. Medical Laboratory in 1987, Medical Documentation and Secretariat programs were opened in 1993, and education and training continued with three associate degree programs. In the 1996-1997 academic year, as a result of the transformation of the Nursing associate degree programs into undergraduate education throughout the country, our college's nursing program was stopped. GU Upon the liquidation of Keçiören Health Services Vocational School, which provides education and training under the Rectorate, in 1997, Environment and Radiology programs within its body were transferred to our school.

In 2009, the "First and Emergency Aid" program was opened and student admissions started for the first time in the 2010-2011 academic year.
Qualification Awarded
Students who successfully complete the program are given the associate degree diploma and Health Technician (Paramedic) title in accordance with the decision of the Council of Higher Education Executive Board dated 27.07.1992 and numbered 92.26.698.

Higher Grade Transition
Our students are successful in our university after the Student Selection and Placement Center has opened the Vertical Transfer exam and if successful, they are entitled to do undergraduate education. First and Emergency Aid students can transfer to Emergency and Disaster Management, Nursing and Nursing and Health Services undergraduate programs through Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS). Together with developing technology, health institutions are starting to choose university graduates because they need qualified personnel and it is expected to be more important in the future.
Graduation Requirements
Article 38- In order to be awarded an associate degree and a bachelors degree, the student must successfully complete the courses and have a minimum GPA of 2.00. Students whose GPA is between 3.00 and 3.50 graduate to the HONOR list and students with 3.51 or higher graduate to the HONOR list and this status is indicated on their diploma. Associate and undergraduate degrees to be given by theFaculty are different for each level, but they are organized jointly in all thefaculty of Gazi University. The diploma is awarded once. In the event of aloss, a certificate will be issued with a photo indicating that the diploma wasgiven due to the loss. Diplomas are signed by the Rector and the Director ofthe School. At the end of the education process, students can graduate aftersuccessfully completing 120 ECTS credits.

Graduatedstudents can work at emergencyaidunitsofpublicandprivateestablishments, emergencyhealth servicecenteradministrationunits, emergencyaidstations, emergencyaid, patienttransfer andambulancesevicesequippedprivately,emergencyaidcontrolandcommandcenter.
Assessment and Grading
(1) For each course taken, students are given a letter success grade at the end of the semester/year.
(2) This grade is given by the instructor of the course.
(3) While evaluating the letter grade, a student?s success at classes, mid-terms/final examinations and attendance to classes are considered. The calculation of the letter grade is determined by the approval of the related academic unit and the Senate.
(4) The success grade of a student is calculated over 100 points. This grade is called raw success point.
(5) A student whose raw success point is under 25.00 is directly given an FF grade and the student fails the course. The success grade of a student whose raw success point is 25.00 and above is evaluated by using the methods determined by the board decisions of the Educational Commission of the University and the Senate; with the letter grades of which coefficients and explanations are mentioned below. After this evaluation, it is also possible that the raw success points 25.00 and above may become FF letter grades.

3) E: Incomplete (The E grades which are not corrected until after 3 weeks from the finalization of letter success grades are converted to FF)
4) VZ: Withdrawn
(7) A student whose letter success grade is (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB), (CC), (DC) or (DD) is considered as succeeded the course. However, the CumGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of the student must be at least 2,00 for graduation.
